📢 on May 19 we visited “Waterproof 2026” in The Hague.
🌊 The threat of “water bankruptcy,” biodiversity loss, urbanization, and water security — it’s clear that water issues are becoming increasingly complex, interconnected, and urgent worldwide, requiring comprehensive solutions and close cooperation. 🗺️ The Netherlands, as always, remains committed to the state of water resources and is actively developing professional, effective approaches and solutions.
👉 Waterproof 2026 is the international meeting where the Dutch water sector comes together to help shape tomorrow’s water solutions. This is the run-up to the UN Water Conference 2026.
More than 400 Dutch international water professionals from various regions gathered, including:
– Government agencies and policymakers, representatives of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management,
– Private companies and financiers,
– Knowledge institutes and researchers,
– NGOs and public organizations,
– Students.
✍ 🤝 👍 A vibrant, open exchange of views across sectors and disciplines enriched all participants with fresh ideas. As a result, we were able to develop common approaches to achieving our common goals –
❗ maximizing the adaptation of our live to the environment and achieving balance with natural ecosystems through the application of clean, energy-neutral innovations.
